OK,
So, I am learning something about me with all this Internet dating stuff. I my friends, am a great first date! I have a pretty chameleon-like personality and like to think I can make conversation with anyone. I am not chameleon-like in an inauthentic way, I just am kinda an everything person and just soak up learning about new things and people.
Now, this can prose a problem in the world of dating. I just sorta fall in love with people daily. Not just in a romantic way, but in all sorts of ways. Like the friendly Baristas at Peets Coffee, the little boy dancing and doing blues air guitar at this festival I was at last Friday, the elderly woman cutting a rug on the 4th of July to “This is How We Do It”…I just love people and always try to see the good in everyone.
So, what happens is, I go on a first date and decide, well this person could be something and then by the 3rd date, we will have nothing to talk about or I’ve lost interest. Also, being that I am kinda “old school” and am pretty slow physically, most guys take this as a cue that I am not interested which a lot of times couldn’t be further from the truth, but by the time they realize this (usually after we’ve decided to friends) we will have missed the “window” and the momentum gets lost.
So I met this guy last week, who was super shy, but talked a lot. I hope that makes sense? Totally hansom (I know old word I never use, but the word just suits him) and just overall super cool. I went up to Reno to visit my cousins this past weekend and he told me to call him when I got back. I did just a little bit earlier and left him a message.
Already, my head goes to “he is over it”…lord I am needy on the beggining for reassurance! …Anyway…
um….he just called…. we just talked for 1 hour and 15mins…I am going now….good-night all….
